Itinerary description
Whites Creek may be the closest in, easiest, mountain biking spot in the pines near Reno. I use the easy "horse trail" to ride uphill, and then use the more technical walking path going downhill. About 650 feet climbing elevation, so short ride, but challenging climb takes some time for me. Plus there are technical parts of the downhill where I could hurt myself.

Older Gentleman
We retired types had to stop and rest several times on the uphill, and we took the easier "horse trail" up. Downhill on the narrow walking path was exhilarating. Which means we are lucky -I- didn't crash.
