Itinerary description
Start / End Ouarzazate main square.
A mix of road cycle and hybrid/ trails.
Linear route. (NOTE / correction: the start point is same as end point, and the ride was slightly longer than shown (nearer 50km, as I started recording late). Also ignore the time as i was taking many photos.
Googlemaps was very accurate leaving / returning to Ouarzazate. It was very simple. you have a few main roads and roundabouts to cross to leave town, and then it's open country roads.
Heading towards the Oasis you have options to use road or trails. The trails were clearly marked and in good condition. They mostly went parallel to the main road.
After the Oasis. i switched to road cycling. It was very quiet.
Drivers gave space to cyclists and stopped to offer assistance if you had stopped for6a break.
It may be possible to continue on the trail but i didn't try. You could road cycle further but I turned back to Ouzaratte because i was limited on time.
Hired bike from store shown in photos (details on Google and TripAdvisor).
