Itinerary description
Super easy crushed limestone Rails-to-Trail. Rented bikes at New River Outdoor Adventures. Had a map, but for some unknown reason we thought we were at a trail head. Headed south on trail towards Fries(freeze). Come to find out the trail actually begins in town. Turned around and headed back the way we came.
Trail is nice and wide and in great shape. A few areas had standing water and mud washed down from the hillside, but no problems encountered. Easy grades as trail is an old railroad bed. Tons of shade and really nice scenery. Lots of Canadian Geese in river. Several restroom facilities, as well as benches along trail.
