This route passes through Heaton Park, & Moston then joins the Rochdale Canal in Ancoats on Varley Street.
The route continues along towpaths to Marple where there are 3 pubs & 2 cafès to grab a bite to eat.
The route then climbs out of Marple to Charlesworth, drops down to Broadbottom and then climbs up to Mottram. Then it descends into Staylybridge and continues via Ashton, Daisy Nook & Prestwich.
