Itinerary description

The annual route with Jordi. This year in Albania. I extend another ten days to cross Macedonia and end up near Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, from where I catch a plane to return home.
Albania is a mountainous country. In 6 days of the route we traveled roads and tracks with little traffic, we ate well and found comfortable accommodations to spend the night. Greener than we expected, blustery days with the usual threat of rain or downpour. A comfortable country to cycle through.
Macedonia also has a lot of mountains with at least one big valley that divides it and has to be crossed, flat km that are done in a hurry and contrast with the steep climbs of the passes that I do. I combine hotels with tent camping. And I'm eating well again.
I barely cycle 40 km from Bulgaria. In Blagoevrad I finish the route, and by train I arrive in Sofia.
