Plan du Fou

In summer, the Plan du Fou has to be earned: you can reach it on foot either from Siviez or from Tracouet via the Dent de Nendaz and its mountain ridges. The advantage is that this makes it a less crowded summit from where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the Cleuson dam at the bottom of the valley, and the incredible natural surroundings. In winter, the Plan du Fou comes to life: it is a central point of the 4 Vallées ski domain; its gondola links Siviez to Haute-Nendaz. There is a restaurant whose sunny terrace offers magnificent views over the surrounding mountains. It is also possible to reach it via a signposted ski touring itinerary.

Restaurant of the Plan du Fou

Located at the top of the gondola lift of the same name, the Plan du Fou restaurant offers a wide choice of traditional dishes from the Valais. From Röstis to the traditional cheese fondue or the dish-of-the-day, you will find something special to whet your appetite after a beautiful morning on the slopes of the 4 Valleys. Its terrace, ideally positioned for a break in the sun, is the perfect place to enjoy a nice hot drink and some home-made pie before getting back on your skis.
