Itinerary description
First of three trails recorded on our historic three trail day! We had one dirt bike, one ATV, and one UTV for this ride. This OHV park has a total of 9 separate loop trails with a central (spine) trail along a powerline right-of-way. Each one-way loop trail begins and ends on that spine trail. Even though the overall area is predominantly sand and well drained, trail #1 is predominantly mud, with most of this trail being heavily rutted.
Park has done a great job in clearing the trails from this year's hurricanes, and only trail #5 was still closed.
Ample parking lot, with clean restrooms. Fee is currently $15 per OHV, per day and has to be paid across the highway and the main park entrance. Only OHV trail system in Louisiana State Park system.
