Hi, did you do this trip? If so how long did it take you? How much is tarmac? And what bikes did you use?

    Hi James,
I planned the trip but we only came halfway, in Badajos (spain) my Honda CRF was stolen. I did get it back the same day but the thief had a crash with it, my CRF was damaged so badly that we had to go back to the Algarve by road.
Especially the first day from the Algarve up north was amazing, mainly offroad a lot of sand tracks along the coastline.
The second day we had a lot of private farmland with many many fences. You can open and close the barriers on the track most of the time but it takes a lot of effort. Luckely we did it with 3 so the first opened the gate and the other 2 drove on, next gate same procedure ....

So the way back to the Algarve we didnt drive, yet is you want tracks in Portugal, I have some very nice 90% offroad in the Algarve witch I'll gladly email to you. I dont put them on Wikilocs because they are not really mine.

The idea was to ride this track in 4 days with 1 KTM 450 EXC and 2 Honda 450 CRF's though It's also doable with a KTM 690 Enduro or even a 990 Adventure or Africa Twin (yet the loose sand will be hard)

So just if you want some tracks you are welcome .... enjoy your trips in the beautiful Portugal.

    greets,
    Martin (rararoef)

Thanks for your reply, I will keep this one in the bank for a trip this winter. Thanks for your info. Sorry to hear about your bike troubles. I will post a report when I've done it.

Hello! We want to make the route a group of trail / enduro bikes, 2 xr650r, a drz400 and a wr450, we will do it in July and although we have very advanced tracks, I just discovered yours that is very similar to what we want to do. In the comments you put that you have many tracks for enduro motorcycle, if possible and if you have time I would appreciate if you let me take a look. Basically we want to start in Badajoz, arrive in the Algarve and go north along the Atlantic coast to Setubal to return back to Badajoz, where we will leave the cars. Greetings and a million thanks

Echojet, if you make this trip, could you please let us know how it went? How difficult you found it, easy to follow? If you had to detour at any time and for what reasons..... You know all the usual information, I haven't had an opportunity to do this trip yet. Might do so end of the year.
But the way, beware July could be very hot.
