Itinerary description
Generally an easy tour, with ebike or regular mountainbike. While most on it is on forest roads, asphalt roads or the Ravel (bicycle path on an old railway line), it has two harder spots - one between waypoint Flora an Stillbusch, the other one between at the crossing of the Laufenbach, near the Rochusmühle.
Behind the Flora is a very steep ascent, on a rutted and partly overgrown trail. It is not long and can be pushed. Near the Rochusmühle, the trail crosses the river over some rickety wooden bridges, designed for walkers only, with a few steps. Most MTB riders will push their bikes, for a few meters.
Our trail does not go straight back to Kalterherberg, but makes a detour to visit the 'Hühnermobil' (chicken mobile home). Chicken can roam the entire day, and their home for the night can be moved around the meadows so as to allow the gras to recover. We now buy our eggs from there - usually fresh from the same morning.
