Itinerary description
Great mountain bike trail from Minehead up to the top of the hill, through steep woodland paths and bridleways, some of which were a bit gnarley, some loose stone sections, with fabulous views at the top of the town and the sea. We continued along open country surrounded by carpets of purple heather, and circled around some gorgeous little villages full of flower gardens and thatched cottages. We stopped in Horner village for coffee in their tea gardens. Now we’re riding along narrow country lanes with a little loose shale. Then back up through woodlands, and down single lane track across moors to Dunster train station. The last section was a public footpath along the pebbled beach with the golf course on the other side. Good varied mountain biking, perfect for e-bikes!
