Itinerary description
Beautiful sunny day, blue skies. Took our time along the last stretch of the trail. Arrived around noon. Passed lots of sheep, deer & the amazing Rock & Pillar mountain range. Rode through Ngapuna where the very first NZ ski field was established until it was wiped out & set up in Coronet Peak. Also passed Straw Cutting memorial for 1934 train disaster which killed 21 people! Coffee/muffin at Kissing Gate Cafe before dropping bikes off at Trailjourneys Middlemarch Depot & board shuttle back to Cromwell.
