Itinerary description
Nice ride on a lovely sunny afternoon through footpaths and country roads to St Ives… admittedly it was a beautiful village and so were the views and the beaches, but it is so overcrowded with tourists in august that it spoilt it for us. We rode on past the train station and the Harbour as best we could with the crowds, then made our way to Tate St Ives and finally out to Man’s Head where there were lovely coastal views from moors but no people. To get back we rode up a narrow overgrown path and got very scratched by brambles and stung by nettles. Finally it widened out on to a country road and it was easy after that back to our campsite!
