MTB1-DI: Skertec - Rabdisht

One of the most attractive, adventurous and enjoyable trails is the Skertec - Rabdisht biking trail.
To reach the starting point you must follow the same road you use for the Hinoske-Ilnice-Melan route. Once you have reached an altitude of 2000 m above sea level following the patrol route on the other side of the border which can also be used by cyclists of a slight level of difficulty and for a distance of about 2 km you will reach the point of the start of the trail Skertec - Rabdisht.
Before you start your guide, first enjoy the combination of two colors of forest green with light gray and gypsum rocks, a special feature of this area.
Located in the quota of 1971 m above sea level and in a length of about 6.6 km you will descend to the elevation of 1085 m above sea level.
The trail follows exsisting marked hiking path (D2T), which is except some sections already suitable for more skilled mountain bikers.
The trail is the only one of its kind as for a distance of about 3 km you will find all the possible alternatives that the biking trails offer. There you will find a trail with a slope of 1 to 30%, lawns and rocky parts, very attractive ups and downs. After you have probably taken a short break and refreshed yourself at the Qaka spring, the trail continues with more adrenaline as you pass through the beech area and a higher level of difficulty than the first part of the trail. As you descend towards the village to the left of the trail is a small artificial lake. The rest of the trail passes near the heels planted with organic products of the area where you can find in one of the processes of their production cycle. Maybe you can modestly contribute to one of these cycles.
When you are at the entrance of the village you will notice its special feature in terms of the style of construction of houses and the internal road network of this village. It is a style that has been followed by ancestors and the community is trying to inherit it further despite the costs that this style of construction requires.
Somewhere in the middle of the village Sabriu and Fitimi have their inns. They welcome tourists from all over the world as well as locals. They are happy to come here and tourists find it difficult to leave because of the traditional and generous hospitality of this area. Conditions in these inns are suitable for a very traditional and comfortable stay of all types of tourists.
From Rabdisht to Peshkopi you can go by biking through the gravel road used by the car also.
