Itinerary description
Ride by the Li river on the section south of Yangshuo with stops at Fuli and LiuGong. Route provided by our guest house - the Giggling tree. Mainly local roads with very few traffic. In spite of the heavy rain it was very beautiful. We were surrounded by those misty peaks all the time and if not for the rain, we would probably see them all spreading over the horizon.
We crossed the river at Fuli to visit the fan painting shops and the market. LiuGong was not very impressive but by that time we were already soaking wet, so defenitely not in sight seeing mood.
Only downside was section between KM33 and KM38. Here we had to take two main roads with lots of traffic, especially trucks. The side of the road was very bumpy and with lots of holes so I would recomend to try to find an alternative for the way back. An option would be coming back the same way. Yangshuo town is also not the most pleasant to go through but I guess there's no way to avoid it.
No need for mountain bike.
