Itinerary description
This cycling trail starts in Iere Village just outside of Princes' Town. The trail heads East along the Naparima-Mayaro Road. At the four road intersection between the M1 Ring Road and the Naparima-Mayaro Road turn left heading North-East into the Village of Buen Intento. Then at the junction of the M1 and the Naparima-Mayaro Road at Craignish we turn right heading West into Princes' Town. There are a few things to do while in Princes' Town, like explore the old St. Stephen's Anglican Church and get home made ice cream at one of the many shops in the town. The ride continues along the Manahambre Road to the Usine Ste. Madeleine Pond. There are quite a few birds that inhabit the area surrounding the pond so there's quite a lot of very good photography to be done. I've found it very good just after sunrise and also before sunset. The ride then continues along the Manahambre Road and onto the M1 Ring Road back to Iere Village.
As with everything one needs to be aware of impatient and irate drivers on the roads of Trinidad. They seem to have no patience or concern for anyone else using the roads. Additionally, there are quite a lot of loose dogs that are nothing more than a hassle along the journey so be aware...
