Itinerary description

Easy, very flat route through some of the most iconic locations in the city. Really recommend starting it before the sunset to enjoy the views at Gas Works and catch the sunset at Myrtle Edwards Park. After the sun is set, the neon lights at Pike Place Market will offer its best view.

The route can easily be accessed from the Burke Gilman Trail or the 1-line link. You can take the link to UW and close the route by getting to the link in the Westlake station, close to the end point of this route (Pike Place market).

Almost all of the ride is through a dedicated bike lane except from the segment between the Space Needle and Pike Place, where you can follow the bike lanes on the road or walk your bike on the sidewalk. The route can definitely be completed in a shorter time than recorded, as I stopped many times and walked my bike to enjoy the views :)

From here on, the route is in roads shared with cars. An alternative is just walking the bike on the sidewalk.

This park has a dedicated bike line and can be biked up to Interbay if you want to make the route longer, the views during the sunset are totally worth it.
