Itinerary description
Touristic bicycle tour recorded on 07AUG2011. Closed loop performed clockwise. 59,2 km. Total ascent 20 m (because of the bridges and the dikes, otherwise it is flat). 99 % on asfalt. A few hunderd meters on dirt and gravel. The tour includes the cities of Middelburg and Vlissingen and the villages of Zoutelande, Westkapelle, Domburg, Vrouwenpolder, Veere. Suitable for a day trip. The starting point is a parking lot in Middelburg.
It would be smart to perform the tour in clockwise direction in case of strong south-western wind. You will then have the wind in your back on the coastline between Westkapelle and Domburg. And between Veere and Vlissingen you will be shielded from the headwind by a high dike over a considerable distance.
