Itinerary description
A nice bike ride (or hike) along the shore of Lake Ontario. Path is in good shape with maps posted in a couple of places, some parking available at either end or public transit is also an option (TTC).
Tommy Thompson park is only open nights and weekends. Trucks dump fill here during the week and I believe the entire spit owes its existence to excavations in downtown Toronto. The area has attracted some wildlife and can provide some nice views of the lake and the city.
Very flat (no steep hills) paved almost entirely and well used by hikers, cyclists and others.
