Itinerary description
An anti-clockwise ride starting near the town centre of Tamworth and riding along the New England Highway for 7km to Nemingah before turning off onto more relaxed country roads taking in the townships of Kootingal and Moonbi. There is a bit of a challenging ascent to the top of Moonbi gap before the reward of a long, fast decent to Moore Creek road. Then it is a flat, slight downhill 20km along a relatively car free road back into Tamworth. This ride is just over 55km and takes just over two hours with beautiful farmland and countryside for the vast majority of the ride.
