Where once in the imagination of the inhabitants was the end of the world, today the paradise is opening to the eyes of the cyclist. The embankment's crown offers a wide view of the meadows. Birds of prey circulate around the sky, storks parade on the lush meadows. This is just one of the many views that the Odra-Nysa cycling route offers, which winds more than 591 kilometers from the Jizera Mountains to the Baltic Sea and leads through cities with a rich past and a European future. The Odra-Nysa line is also the state border between Germany and Poland. In the past it was an "iron curtain", unbeatable for tourists. Now it is a friendly border between two nations. Tourists visiting this region have many opportunities to look "on the other side" and look for opportunities to make contacts with their neighbors. Starting the journey from the source of Nysa in the Czech town of Nova Ves, we give in to the charm of cross-border tourist experiences. Here in the Jizera Mountains and in the Upper-Lusatian triangle of countries, we will not see vast meadows, but forests preserved in unimpaired condition, plateaus with breathtaking views and mountain villages lying apart from the mountain. Tourists who want to use the water route from the sources of the Nysa River to its estuary to the Oder are accompanied by flat landscapes of the basin, almost intact. There are many protected areas with a rich animal and plant world. Leaving the bike trail in the National Park of the Lower Oder Valley, we can get information on the conservation of nature in the Center of the National Park. A more romantic park opens before you in Bad Muskau: a well-known landscape park. Prince Pückeler, who currently is on the Polish side in two thirds. Visiting Zgorzelec, the Polish part of the city of Görlitz, or Słubice opposite Frankfurt / Oder, we will encounter elements of a common culture. The Odra-Nysa cycling route leaves the river only in the north, in the Pomorze region. Here, the tourists expect quiet forest roads and meadows, then just a great bath in the Zalew Szczeciński.
