Itinerary description
A semi-circular hilly route through beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Sneck Yate bank is challenging, but I'd suggest to take a few rests going up it, no reason to kill yourself on this steep section. Once you've reached the top of the bank, it's a nice downhill cycle all the way to Rievaulx. Coming down Sutton Bank is exhilarating, but there's many blind corners, so be careful. There can be many bugs flying into your face in summer, so definitely wear some glasses. Some of the roads are single track, so please give way to the cars and tractors, they will appreciate it and reward you with a smile and friendly nod.
