Itinerary description
Flat and paved. In nature; bicycle friendly; when the Silver Comet line crosses roads there's signals and it seemed cars where aware and respectful to biking.
So this is ideal for workouts, speedy flow on high gears, beginners, kids and 'getting back to the bike'. Even rehab trail if it comes to that. Even "burley"friendly! :)
There's traffic in this trail as in bikes and other cycling "things". So if kids go to do Silver Comet they need a crash-course on how to ride in line and they need to learn how to look back before going to the middle of the line. There are "fast-bicycle" riders in both direction on "triathlon" position so kids needs to be careful.
The total trail is about 100kms. This is just a small 25kms linear loop segment that departs from a very handy parking lot at Carter Road Trailhead.
Nearby restaurant Giovanni's was absolutely great. Real and authentic 'owner is there' type of place.. "thank you Giovanni for a great lunch!"
