Itinerary description
This is basically a conditioning cycling trip - 20km long climb beginning in San Pedro de Atacama, with 800m elevation gain and maximum altitude of approx. 3200m. It doesn't really reach the village of Guatin, it finishes at the last quasi-summit before the village. It's fun, and the downhill ride is amazing too. On the way back to San Pedro, the trail diverges to the Pukara de Quitor which is an archeological site worth visiting.
