Itinerary description

Cycling through fields and villages south of Brussels. You can start and finish next to the train stations of Rhode-Saint-Genèse or Braine-l'Alleud. A mix of asphalted roads, dirt roads and pretty narrow paths.

From next to the city hall of RSG, you follow green-marked cycling trail towards Beersel. On the way you have a nice panorama on Brussels. At km 5 we left the trail, and we continued downhill through fields, wooded ravines and south towards 7 Fontaines. After 7 Fontaines you go uphill towards Braine-le-Château, having Hallerbos on your right. Then you go downhill, you cross the road between Braine-l'Alleud and Braine-le-Château, and you reach former railway line transformed into a cycling path (ravel) taking you to Braine-l'Alleud. At certain moment we left the ravel and turned right towards the town. From Braine-l'Alleud to Rhode-Saint-Genèse we went through built-up area and fields.
