Itinerary description
Another challenge of Malaga region!!!
You start in Plaza de la Constitucion and follow walking street Calle Granada. Then follow streets Calle Victoria/Cristo de la Epidemia and finally Camino de Colmenar which turn out to be C 345 road leading to Puerto del Leon.
It's quite strong climb from Malaga to Puerto del Leon located in 950m all this during 15km. There are 5 short parts between 15-20% and the rest is mostly under 10%. This road is well maintained and wide enough. Only you need is to be strong!
After any 18km turn right for Olias following MA 166 then right again for MA 165. In Olias the road change number to be MA 113. All this descent is very fast and the surface is a bit worse. But in generally very exciting.
Close to sea you turn right to follow street Calle Almeria which takes you to the center of Malaga again.
You can climb this route throug Olias to and downhill along Fuente de la Reina. In this case you will get a stronger climb and longer descent to Malaga with nice views.

Here I go again ! (01/13/2022) Windy day in Malaga (40-60 kmh from the east..16C) I was a bit concerned before going about wind gust but since Ive done it a couple of time it went no problems , met other cyclists 😁 The cafe at Fuenta was closed , no water on the fountain but I have bottles ))) Went to Colmenar out and return to Olias and down to Malaga via the cyclepath tailwind ))) around 60 km ..1900m
