Itinerary description

A popular bicycle loop. This track starts at free parking lot at Colony Farm where there are facilities and a farm garden. Other parking options can be found.

The scenery is varied; river-meadowland, semi-urban parkland bordering a rapid stretch of river, forest sections, sloughs, and dike trails along the major rivers of area.

Mostly light gravel with some paved bike trails, narrower forest paths, a quiet dike-road section in the south passes a riverfront pub.

Trail turns from pavement to light gravel, heads north up the east bank of the stream, through a dense forest. Be alert for fast oncoming mountain bikes, there are apparenrtly some serious MB networks farther north.
