Itinerary description
Long ride in Orini Nafpaktia across the Patras bay.
Classic start to Nafpaktos and later continuing with a climb to Simos (long but steady, without crazy grades). After passing Simos, a sharp left towards Dorvitsa and Stranoma. Great views to Evinos river and surrounding mountain ranges. After passing Stranoma, a sharp turn right in direction to Ano Kampos and Kareli, where hanging bridge over Evinos river is located (great picnic area just next to the river). Roads were a bit rough in that section which costed us few punctures. Later following minor roads to Poros where we crossed Evinos for the first time and climbed to Analipsi village (with panoramic view to Lake Trichonida - the largest natural lake of Greece, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Trichonida). Quick descent to Chani Mpania and return to Patra via Nafpakto.
The route offers some of the best views in Orini Nafpaktia. Roads are moderate to low quality (some sections would better fit a gravel bike to be honest).
