Itinerary description
This bike ride starts from the car park at Otley's Wharfe Meadows Park. Plenty of parking and free.
From here the first 6 miles of the route are on busy roads through Otley, Menston and on to Baildon. In Baildon turn left off the A6038 onto a gravel track called Buck Lane, which takes you to the Leeds Liverpool canal.
Then it is 18 miles along the canal towpath to Skipton. The path is good apart from 6 miles from Riddlesden to Bradley which hasn't been upgraded and is just a footpath.
From Skipton take the road to Embsay, and the Embsay steam railway, before taking the quiet back road down to Bolton Abbey.
From Bolton Abbey it's the back road to Ilkley and Otley.
