Itinerary description
A ride to Musselman's Lake along Ninth Line from Bethesda Fields in Stouffville. There is plenty of parking at the start point (Bethesda Fields) IF the gates are open. If not parking is available about 1.2k east down Bethesda Road just east of 10th Line at the GO Station. Another good start point would be a winery on 9th Line just as you turn the corner (or another winery on Bethesda just west of 9th Line). It's not Napa Valley, but wine tours are always nice. Gallucci and Willow Springs are the winery names I believe.
The ride was noticeably up hill all the way to the lake and from there another series of streets/roads loops around the lake (keep turning right). At one point it turns into path for 100 feet or so but it is pavement the rest of the way. I didn't see any public access to the lake but there were a surprising number of homes of various ages and sizes clustered around the lake.
For hikers the loop around the lake could be easily walked (parking at small park just off Ninth Line on Coultice Drive). And for avid bikers there are plenty of ways to extend your trip in the area.
