Itinerary description
When I planned to ride this trail, I designed it trying to maximize the long and continuous climbs instead having a lot of short up-and-down.
The first climb take you form the Moselle-side to Kirf.
This is about 7km long but it is not a single climb, there are some flat parts where you can rest a little.
The second climb is about 3km form Trassen towards Freudenburg.
It is a nice one with a couple of curves and a part in the woods.
After this, there is the descent to the Saar river.
The 7km flat part that ends in Mettlach goes along a quite busy road, but there is also the cycle-path (but if you wan to keep a high speed is better to ride on the road)
The last climb is the one from Mettlach river side to the top of the hill.
The climb is 2.4 km long with an average of 7%, but it has some very steep parts above 11%.
in this trail there are also some long and steep descent where you can reach really high speed, but beware the road condition, some roads are not so good.
