MALAGA-RINCON...-TORRE DEL MAR-ZAFARRAYA-ALFARNATE-COLMENAR-PUERTO DEL LEON-MLG

Nice and longer trip around region Axarquia. Firstly flat costal part and behind Torre del Mar starts slow and long climb.

Start on the main square Plaza de la Constitucion taking walking path Calle Larios. Turn left through Paseo del Parque and then slightly right and left again to follow shoreline and road N-340 through rest of Malaga then El Palo/La Cala del Moral/Rincon de la Victoria up to Torre del Mar.

In Torre del Mar turn left on third roundabout to follow signs for Velez-Malaga/Vinuela/Alhama de Granada/Colmenar. Small climb through urbanization and after 500 m turn left on another roundabout to follow A-356 direction Colmenar/Vinuela/Alhama de Granada/Benamocarra. After any 4km turn right to follow signs for Benamocarra/Cajiz but for 100 m only. Keep staight through local road A-7205/C 335 via Trapiche/Portugalejo to Vinuela.

In Vinuela go left to meet road A 402 leading through pass Boquete de Zafarraya to Alhama de Granada/Granada. You have any 12km to be claimed. There are some restaurants to get refreshment. Reaching pass you enter village Venta de Zafarraya and there turn left for Zafarraya through road A 341 (Province of Granada). You will stay on this road at least any 10 km then you come to crossroad Alfarnate-Loja-Villanueva. Turn left again for MA-115/A 4152 leading not to the highest point but at least to the highest pass of the day: Puerto de Alazores (1.040 m). Going down you will cycle along Alfarnate and Alfarnatejo then still straight for Colmenar. having any 95 km you will come to crossroad close to Colmenar so keep straight to Colmenar on A-7204.

From Colmenar it is easy to follow signs for N.P. Montes de Malaga and Malaga. So via A-7000 cycle along Natural Park to other famous pass Puerto del Leon (900 m.) and then you will enjoy 20 km long downhill to Malaga!!!
