Itinerary description
Magnificent ride, idyllic valleys , very quiet roads, classic Dorset very pretty villages and up to one of Englands' highest towns and over Dorsets highest point.
Was following a route uploaded to my cycle computer and really needed the navigation help that it was giving - i would have got to Shaftesbury in the end but possibly not that the route I actually took. Do not expect clear directions from the sign posts. Lots of hidden side roads which are magical to take.
I came back over Bullbarrow - incredible views, but if you wanted to make the ride easier you could divert around this big hill (although I still think you need to do a hill)
