Beautiful but hard route to the Wiclow Mountains and the Guinness Lake and back by Bray following the coast to Dublin.

The first 30 km must be done calmly, as we do not stop climbing since we passed Tallaght, and some ramps to km 20 exceed 10%. However, the effort is rewarded by the beautiful views of the valley and an entire road for us where only one sheep will be disturbed by our tranquility passing by to greet us.

At km 36 we passed by the famous bridge that appears in the movie "Posdata I love you", and after a forced photo we will continue our march to only a few meters ahead enjoy spectacular views of Lake Guinness that alone deserve the I regret the effort made.

We take the road back to Eniskerry. The kilometers weigh on the legs, so we stopped for a panini at Kingfisher's Kitchen. The amount of bicycles resting on the door makes us think that we are not the first to have that idea ;-)

From Eniskerry we drive to Bray, and follow the coast road until we reach Dublin. If you have a good day and you are going slowly, I recommend stopping at Bray or Dun Laoghaire. Bray has a very nice beach reminiscent of the north of Spain, and in Dun Laoghaire you can take a walk around the marina.

The return to the coast is easy and allows us to enjoy the views. On the track you can see that already in Dublin past Sandymount I deviated through the harbor towards the Poolbeg lighthouse. It is another place that is worth visiting, however I did not arrive because the pavement is not the most suitable to go by road bike, in any case you will have to dismount and arrive on foot.

In short, a route that has everything, mountain and sea, and that is a good summary of the points of interest south of Dublin that you can visit by bike. Patience and good legs :-)
