Itinerary description
I hate Sophie for insisting we ignore the wind warning!
We’ve done this ride before albeit starting from Alcalali so it’s a bit further and has a bit more ascent from here. The ride is excellent and despite the testing conditions we were fractionally quicker (with more ascent) on the same distance as we did last time (48km in 2:16ish).
So back to the conditions, the mornings are generally cold (3-6 degrees) but today we had strong winds throughout with very regular gusts just to add to the misery. It was really tough going for the first 3/4 and I had a few personality failures and may have shouted some swear words into the wind. The last bit despite not being able to feel my entire body was good fun and we even had some sunshine!
