I have put road cycling (although I did it with hard tail MTB, see photo of my Jabel Hafeet route) because everything is asphalt but this route crosses camel routes that are sandy. Most of it is a stretch of 4-lane road but with a shoulder of more than 2 meters (which is common in this country) which allows you to cycle comfortably. The hotel where I left spectacular but expensive (both common things in this country, except for Dubai, which does exist with good prices).
