Itinerary description
Cycling along the alzaia of the river Adda. Started from Lecco, continued on the cycling path along the Garlate and Olginate lakes. After Garlate, the road is mostly dirt, but it's quite doable even with a city bike, albeit not as comfortable.
Shortly after Olginate, we crossed a bridge over the river and continued along the other side, passing by a few villages, among which Brivio is the nicest. Our final destination was the train station of Paderno-Robbiate, where we caught the S7 back to Milano. Unfortunately my phone died at around Duraga, just before the Edison Semenza Power Plant. The climb to enter Paderno is quite a challenge though!
Overall, a pleasant ride along the sleepy Adda in wonderful forest surroundings.
