Itinerary description
A quieter and more relaxing alternative to the Piccolo San Bernard. Very peaceful in the forest. With various gradients to test you and more and more views as you climb.
I descended back down the petit San Bernard to make a round route and it was horrible.
Lunatic motorbikes and sportscars, lorries puffing out clouds of diesel and numerous tunnels to keep you hidden from view. Take care, carry a flashing rear light and be vigilant of other road users.
When back in the Aosta valley, I used a quiet back road to return to Morgex. With views of Mont Blanc; it is a special place.
