Itinerary description

This is a 2.5 hour round trip bike ride from Plazhi Golemit to Durres and back. The ride goes past the Port of Durres to Sheshi Taulantia and the Archeological Museum and back. From Sheshi Taulantia you can also connect to the Venetian Tower, the Castle of Durres, or the Amphitheater. For those wanting to do the first part of the Via Egnatia from Durres to Golem, follow the trail from the photos of the pedestrian overpass that connects the Port to the Train Station. From the Train Station, loop around west and south to the road behind the port to join the trail. It is worthwhile seeing the Sheshi Taulantia area of Durres before continuing the Via Egnatia.
