Itinerary description
This is a beautiful trail. You can begin the route at Glenbeigh village where lots of parking spaces can be found. There are also a number of shops and pubs located here. The first half of the trail (west side of lake) is mostly down hill and overlaps with parts of the "Kerry Way". From this side you will get to experience some beautiful views of the lake and mountains in the background. Remember to conserve your energy as the second half of the trail is a steep climb for about a 3-4k as the altitude graph indicates. Once at the top you will be greeted with stunning views of the Dingle Peninsula and Brandon mountains. Unfortunately the day was very wet and had to stop a number of times to take shelter. The trail could be completed in 2hrs comfortably. Enjoy!
