Itinerary description
This trail goes 35 miles from Springfield to Bolivar. I have only posted the southern 16 miles. The 8 miles on the south end and 3 miles on the north end are asphalt. The rest is packed gravel. Services between Willard & Bolivar are spotty. There was a vending machine at Wishart. North of Walnut Grove, the gravel is less packed. Washouts occur occasionally along this stretch. The bridges along this stretch are nice, but require the rider's attention. Horses are allowed north of Willard. Parking is at the south end, Willard, Walnut Grove, Wishart & Bolivar.

On my latest trip, I noticed signs prohibiting horses on the Willard to Walnut Grove section, butt still plenty of fresh horse manure to avoid on the trail. If you are concerned, you might investigate further. I didn't see horses actually on the trail.
