Itinerary description
This is a 72 km ride that a seasoned biker can do from April to October. We characterised it as Very difficult due to the total distance and the 550m climb from Rapsani to Kallipeuki plateau.
This is bot a biker's and a landscape photographers paradise and it is highly recommended to do it very early in the morning on the way to Rapsane and late in the afternoon on the way back. Both the sunrise and the sunsets are glorious.
It will take a good biker 4 hours to reach Rapsani on the way there and 5 1/2 to return under normal circumstances which means that only days with daylight > 8 1/2 hours are suitable for photography.
That said the road is safe to return even at night. During the August high moon the ride is magical on the way back.
Enjoy
