Challenge Ruwenzori Mountain-Bike Solidarity in favor of Kelele Africa - II Edition (2019)
Route:
*****
From the door of Kabatoro (Queen Elizabeth National Park) to the salt lakes of Katwe and back.
Made on 01/15/2019.
Basic data:
***************
- Distance: 20.09 km.
- Positive slope: 128 m.
- Circular route: Yes
Description of the route:
***********************
Today we got up early. In the morning, very early, we travel by car from Kimya to Queen Elizabeth National Park with bikes in a truck. Upon arrival, we dismount the bikes from the truck and go ... on a bike safari!
On the way to the salt lakes of Katwe we cross several elephants. In your enviroment. Free. And we by bike impressed by the stamp.
We go around the salt flats. One group goes down the main track and another group goes a little more complicated roads.
Already at the entrance to Queen Elizabeth National Park, we stopped to check in and from there direct to the lodge where we stayed that night, next to the Kazinga canal. One group goes by bike to Mweya, the beginning of the canal, and another gets into cars to shorten the route. This is the route of the group that stops pedaling at the park gate.
* Note: The photos are of the Challenge participants.
