Itinerary description
Derry Lough cycle loop is a short cycle that could be easily extended to take in nearby Ballyhoe and Rahan lakes. This loop along quiet, narrow and pretty surrounding road commences at the carpark for Derry Lough's entrance. Derry Lough itself is gated and has a sign saying private for fishing members only but the gate is not locked and walkers who respect the environment would not have any problems visiting the lake. The lough is beautiful so would recommend visiting it.
