Itinerary description
Cycling - Urban ups-and-downs. Avoiding weekends is the best option for taking the classic Superga climb, as motor traffic can otherwise be consistent. Max gradient 15%.
A clear day - not today, unfortunately - grants great views over the city and the Alps.
Behind the Basilica complex, a memorial marks the impact point of the tragic airplane crash (May 4th, 1949) that wiped the entire Torino soccer team while returning from a match in Portugal.
Proceeding then on Via dei Colli, dubbed by most "La Panoramica", to Bric della Maddalena which, being the highest point of the city, yields more views.
Last and most notorious viewpoint is the terrace of the Monte dei Cappuccini which is also the location of the National Mountain Museum.
