Itinerary description
Cycling - The UNESCO region of The Langhe in Central-Southeastern Piedmont is a world-class wine region. Perched villages and extensive vineyards covering the rolling hills provide exquisite panoramas.
The whole area is a cycling mecca.
One vantage point not to be missed is the large belvedere terrace of La Morra.
Just below the perched village, an interesting sight is the notorious "Cedar of the Langhe" (Cedro del Libano), a large tree atop a hill covered with Nebbiolo grapes that will yield Barolo wine. The tree was planted in 1856 by a couple as a memory of their wedding.
