Itinerary description
Starts and ends at The Peak, Forthside Way, FK8 1QZ. Sports complex in Stirling with cafe. Leaves city on NCN76 via railway path to Fallin and minor roads to Cowie and Larbert. Cafe at The Courtyard Coffee Shop, Home Farm, Denny, FK6 5LH. Then, through Denny to Carron Valley road, B818, via Fankerton to Carron Bridge. Return through St Ninians (suburb of Stirling) to NCN76 and The Peak. Good surfaces. Suitable for road bikes. Undulating. Steady climb from Fankerton to beyond Carron Bridge, then long descent to Stirling. Option of extending ride around North Third Reservoir (junction beyond Loch Coulter).
