Itinerary description
Great Trail for biking... Most of it is also good for hiking... Brasso Seco is located about an hour's drive from the Piarco International Airport and 45 minutes outside of the town of Arima. The village has a population of about 300 with quite a bit of people coming to explore and hike. Within the village there are a few shops selling local produce, a Catholic Church, Primary School, Health Facility, Community Center, Post Office,and a Visitors Center. Originally established in the early 1900’s as a Cocoa and Coffee plantation, the area is still rich with assorted fruit trees and is surrounded by pristine rain forests full of crystal clear rivers, countless waterfalls and a plethora of birds, butterflies, mammals, reptiles & insects...
