Itinerary description

Easy, nice and a very diverse bike trip along the northeastern part of Friesland, passing beaches, canals, dikes, small and large villages and the city of Harlingen.

We start from Witmarsum, through the fields towards Arum. On our way to Harlingen we pass Achlum, a lovely little town where we pass the Achlumer Feart.

Then we arrive at Harlingen, biking along the canals and it’s harbors we end up at Harlingen beach. From here we take the Westerzeedijk to Zurich.

At Zurich we continue our trip along the Sotterumerdijk towards Makkum which is situated at the IJsselmeer. From Makkum we visit the beach of Makkum where you can bike along the boulevard.

Then it’s all the way back to Witmarsum where we pass the church and a windmill.. then through a small forrest we reach our parkingspot again.
