Itinerary description
This trail starts at the Caprock Canyons Trailway. From here you will climb up the caprock escarpment and onto the Llano Estacado. You will travel through high plains farm fields until you again drop down into the caprock. The road will follow the northern boundary of Caprock Canyons State Park. Once through the escarpment you will be riding on the hills of the low rolling plains until you reach the town of Turkey Texas. Home of Bob Wills “The King of Western Swing”. Turn to the east and ride through downtown Turkey. The route will complete the loop in Quitaque. You’ll see fabulous vistas and plenty of wildlife.
