Itinerary description

A laid-back ride through the former hunting grounds of the Danish kings, now neighbourhood of the very rich.

Waypoints

Klampenborg St.

A large station, although with few amenities. Trains every 10 minutes to Copenhagen Central.

'Bakken' amusement park

Bakken is an amusement park like world famous Tivoli but more relaxed and with no entry fee.

Bridge over Mølleåen

Mølleåen, "The Mill Stream", was the primary source of power for watermill near Copenhagen. 5-10 mills were working in different periods, some involved in the production of guns and gunpowder. Later the waterwheels were abandoned in favour of turbines and steam engines, and some of the earliest danish industries grew up along Mølleåen.

Rungsted Kyst Station

This is the recommended starting point although you can do the ride in both directions. There are more trains to and from Klampenborg, which is why it is better to end the ride there. Rungsted Kyst is a small station with no or very few ammenities.
